Following is an excerpt from the January 30, 1939 Arizona Independent Republic newspaper from Phoenix, AZ about this same etching:
"More fortunate than most visitors to Arizona who can reproduce only In memory the picturesque scenes in which the state abounds Is Walter E. Bohl, foremost etcher of outdoor subjects, who puts his memory of beautiful spots upon copper plate. Found in many eastern galleries is this etching, "Under the Rim—Grand Canyon", made after a trip down Bright Angel trail in 1935. The Bohls, who arrived last week, plan to remain here until mid-March. Foremost Etcher Of Outdoor Life Brings Wheeled Studio To Valley In his studio on wheels, stationed in a picturesque spot on the desert south of the city, Walter E.
